CoMMA Performing Arts Center – A Cultural Hub in the Foothills of North Carolina
Located at 401 South College Street in Morganton, North Carolina, the CoMMA Performing Arts Center (City of Morganton Municipal Auditorium) opened in 1986 and has since become a cornerstone of the region’s cultural life. The theater seats more than 1,000 guests and features a 40-foot proscenium stage with modern technical capabilities.
Since its opening, CoMMA has hosted a wide range of performances, including Broadway tours, concerts, dance companies, and community events, bringing national and international artists to western North Carolina. The venue also features a gallery space with public art, including the fresco “Sacred Dance & the Muses,” adding an artistic dimension beyond the stage.
