Rialto Square Theatre – A Historic Entertainment Landmark in Downtown Joliet

Located at 102 North Chicago Street in Joliet, Illinois, the Rialto Square Theatre originally opened in 1926 as a vaudeville movie palace and remains one of the region’s most recognized historic theaters. Known for its grand architecture and ornate interior design, the venue hosts concerts, theatrical productions, comedy, dance performances, and community events throughout the year. The theater features seating for more than 1,900 guests.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Rialto Square Theatre has been restored and preserved as a performing arts venue while continuing to welcome touring productions and live entertainment.
