Located at 125 Pioneer Plaza in El Paso, Texas, The Plaza Theatre is a beautifully restored 1930s atmospheric movie palace. Designed in a Spanish Colonial Revival style, it features ornate plasterwork, decorative tile, wrought iron accents, and a ceiling painted with twinkling stars. Saved from demolition and fully restored in 2006, it now serves as a premier performing arts venue hosting Broadway tours, concerts, film, and community events. Its central downtown location places it near hotels, restaurants, and El Paso’s cultural district, making it both a historic landmark and a lively gathering place for the arts.
